You may recognize Tia's face from CNN, E! or MSNBC. As an editor, writer and TV commentator, Tia has done everything from interviewing Alicia Keys and commenting on the dalliances of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to writing cover stories about Hollywood's hottest and dispensing tips on personal finance . Tia's work has appeared in a host of publications, including the New York Daily News, In Touch Weekly, Entertainment Weekly, Teen People, Essence, Quince Girl, Black Enterprise, SET, AM New York, Startup Nation and Heart & Soul.

Tia discovered her passion for journalism while taking a newspaper course at Phillipa Schuyler Middle School. The Brooklyn native went on to attend Howard University, where she wrote for the school's Hilltop newspaper, and later graduated earning a bachelor's degree in Legal Studies. After completing her studies Tia moved back to New York to attend Columbia University, where she received a master's degree from their Graduate School of Journalism.  

Tia's first professional coup was with Time Inc., the nation's largest publishing house. She worked her way up from interning at Entertainment Weekly to working in the entertainment department at Teen People, the No. 1 teen magazine at the time. After three years she moved up to In Touch Weekly, where she served as a Senior Editor. There her duties included edited, writing and representing the brand as an International Spokesperson. She is currently a writer and pop culture and lifestyle commentator.




Tia's passion for helping others and dispensing practical advice led to the creation of Do Better, Be Better (DBBB), an online weekly advice column. Today, through DBBB, TIa also offers one-on-one coaching, workshops and more. Tia’s goal is to help her clients makes small decisions that can profoundly improve their lives. Tia completed her training with the Coaches Training Institute, one of the world’s premier coach training facilities, and utilizes the Co-Active Coaching method.

She currently resides in Brooklyn.
